Martin's are registered as COVID Safe
Martin’s Albury are a registered COVIDSafe business.
We wish to advise ALL School and Regular Route Bus Services are currently operating as normal. We will be delivering bus services in accordance with Transport for NSW COVID-19 Precautions for Public Transport Services advice. This advice has been developed with regard to Safe Work Australia’s guidance for Public Transport.
Additional cleaning has been introduced on buses since the outbreak of COVID-19. The additional measures include:
- Additional cleaning of all touch points including hand holds, stanchions, bell pushes and seat top rails prior to commencement with hospital grade disinfectant.
- Drivers will be carrying out additional cleaning of the steering wheel, other driver controls and the driver’s area in general
- Additional cleaning will also be carried out in the shared areas of the depot and office environment.
- Handling of cash is a necessary requirement of our business and drivers have been informed about being conscious of not transferring any contamination to the eyes or mouth. Gloves and hand sanitizer has been made available to drivers.
- Martin’s Albury will continue to monitor processes and practices. All advice from TfNSW will be strictly adhered to.

how to protect yourself and others
Practising good hand hygiene by washing your hands frequently is crucial and this will protect you, fellow commuters and our staff.
Advice from Transport NSW and NSW Health:-
- Clean your hands with soap and water, or hand sanitiser.
- Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
- Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
- We encourage any individual that feels ill to avoid travel
school students
Specifically in regard to school students and school services the following information is important;
Social distancing does not apply to dedicated school services
Students attending secondary school must wear a mask on all Martin’s buses
Further, Martin’s will be encouraging social distancing on buses where patronage levels permit. The seats immediately behind the driver and adjacent to the driver will be isolated to minimise contact between the driver and passengers.
Passengers on Martin's Tours
Martin’s Travel Group supports COVID safe business practices including the implementation of physical distancing wherever possible, and requires Passengers to take special measures to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Passengers should:
- Remain in their allocated seat unless otherwise directed by Martin’s Travel Group Albury or the driver.
- Take responsibility for baggage packing and collection from luggage bins.
- Maintain physical distancing when dropping off or collecting luggage and when getting on or off the vehicle.
- Use the hand sanitiser available prior to departure.
- Carry and use their own hand sanitiser or cleaning wipes.
- Avoid using the on-board toilet facility.
- As per the NSW Public Health Order passengers greater than 12 years of age must wear a face mask unless exempt.
- Consider downloading the COVIDSafe App to help facilitate contact tracing.
- Follow the guidance provided by Martin’s Travel Group and it’s officers, directors, agents, employees, contractors and drivers at all times.
NO PASSENGER SHOULD BOARD THE VEHICE IF THEY ARE FEELING SICK, HAVE FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS OR ARE MEANT TO BE SELF-ISOLATING.
Martin’s Travel Group shall not be liable for any transmission of COVID-19 in relation to passengers travelling on its vehicles and/or participating in any other activities associated with a service.
Hiring a Martin's Bus or coach
Martin’s Albury supports COVID safe business practices including the implementation of physical distancing measures wherever possible, and requires the Hirer to take special measures to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Please note that the Hirer:
- Is responsible for the physical distancing of group members whilst on board.
- Should not permit any member of their group to board a vehicle being chartered if they are feeling sick, have flu like symptoms or are meant to be self-isolating.
- Should ensure that all members of the group follow good hygiene practices.
- We also recommend that the Hirer of the vehicle takes the following precautions:
- Keep a list of group members that can be provided to a government authority if requested (to help facilitate contact tracing).
- Advise group members NOT to travel if they feel sick, have flu like symptoms or are meant to be self-isolating.
- Advise group members to maintain physical distancing when including when dropping off or collecting luggage and when getting on or off the vehicle.
- Advise group members to cover their nose and mouth if they cough or sneeze.
- Advise group members to carry and use their own hand sanitiser or cleaning wipes.
- Advise group members to wash hands thoroughly or use hand sanitiser prior to re-boarding the bus after a meal stop and after visiting attractions/destinations.
- Consider advising group members to download the COVIDSafe App to help facilitate contact tracing.
- Consider issuing face masks to group members.
- Consider temperature testing for group members.
